Dead Sara

Dead Sara returned to Sin City at Vinyl Las Vegas for a big show with a big crowd, competing with Kiss across the hall in The Joint, and Dj Ashba’s birthday party just feet away inside Ainsworth, at the same time for a crazy night of rock n’roll at the Hard Rock Hotel. VIP’s from all events took time to cut in and check out the Dead Sara show and the belting blistering gut slinging voice of Emily Armstrong, the supercharged guitar wielding Siouxsie Medley, along with the weighty backing of bassist Chris Null and drummer Sean Friday. The show started off almost frailly with Armstrong backlit in blue with a haunting beginning to “Sorry For it All” that broke into a scorching chorus that sent the fans cheering and set the tone for the rest of the night’s set. Dead Sara’s supercharged post-grunge guitar driven sound with Armstrong’s blend of hard angst and heartbreak came through like a freight train to the senses, and more fans kept piling into the room as the band rocked into “Test on My Patience” and “Monumental Holiday”, with Armsrtong channeling an inner Kurt rolling around on the stage during a guitar raged solo. Dead Sara live feels like you are always just a fine line away from pure chaos, but held in check by the sheer force of Armstrongs mesmerizing stage performance and the pure soul pouring out of the band. This band kicks your ass. Everytime. So much you can’t believe it.
